Iguacu Falls
It took a 17hr bus journey to get here, but it was definitely worth it. The journey itself was an experience on its own.... champagne, fold-flat seats, and hostess service all on their National Express equivalent! The "waterfalls" (the name hardly does it justice really, the Argentinian "Cataratas" seems more in tune with the powerful force of the water) are on the border of Brazil, Argentina and Paraguay. We stayed on the Argentine side, but visited the Brazillian side on the first day (16th Feb), which gives a good long distance view. The second and third days (17th/18th Feb) we went to the Argentine side, getting close to the falls with walkways and a speedboat trip right underneath! The 50 degree heat soon dried us off though! It was an amazing experience, seeing such a huge (4 times as wide as Niagra falls) and powerful display of nature, tucked away deep in lush green rainforest. Back in Buenos Aires now, and will post photos from this wonderful city before we leave on Weds.
