Mt Cook

Mt Cook is the biggest mountain in Australasia and the next stop for us! We stayed in Mt Cook village and did some lovely walks along the valleys. We had some wonderful weather and even saw an avalanche coming down the slopes of Mt Sefton, pretty scary but nice to be at a distance! We had to cross two large swing bridges to make our way to the Hooker Glacier:

As we made our way along the Hooker Valley, the clouds disappeared from the mountain tops and we got some great views of Mt Cook.

Ate our lunch at the base of Mt Cook with the amazing view below. Our freezing hands quickly ate the  sandwiches before getting back into warm gloves.
